I had some ideas for this blog and all of them centered around Rang De Basanti, but I think enough has been said about that movie already. I only have to share one thing, its a new genre of movies in Indian cinema and I totally am basking in it!!!

I cried buckets over Love and Loss between Gay Cowboys....if you havent guessed already, I am talking about Brokeback Mountain. I have to say it was an awesome movie, a sensitive subject dealt with such delicacy! The director did an awesome job, making a big impact right at the start with the picturesque landscape and then sketching the lonliness of being so far away in such a beautiful setting with no one to share it with but another person of the same sex...slowly developing a friendship that I could only fathom as profound and then subtly bringing out the physical relationship, that just is a part and not the whole basis of this relationship.

What a way to open up people's minds! I know a lot of Christians would not agree with me or for that matter a lot of conservative folks part of other religions, who cannot even acknowledge the existence of such a relationship, leave alone accept it. I would not say I am fashioning it and making a propaganda of it...but I am only saying that one cannot remove the sensitiveness and the feelings in such a relationship and undermine it just as a choice or a lifestyle that one choses to lead. To me it seems more deep than that, like a huge emotional vaccuum that can only be fulfilled by something so inexplicably unique and more sensitive feelings that is present in a heterosexual relationship.

Anyway, Life has gotten so busy all of sudden...I have no time to sit and wonder how my day is going to pass off on a Saturday, I have already made plans for 3 weekends out from now!! This is crazy!! I can only say my personal life rocks!!! Touch/Knock on WOOD!!! Its like college days...where I would look forward to hanging out with friends...those fun filled days are back!!! OR they seem like they are :)

I am looking forward to another day of skiing, a trip to NYC, SFO, Chicago (that depends on PJ, dont ask me why) and then phew! finally make some personal plans....WOW what an eventful year already :))

Alright peoples, will catch up with ya'll later...talk to you soon!

Hello All,

A New Year has begun and so it is time to put away some bad old memories...are you wondering why I am saying this? Oh that is because I had collected a bunch towards the end of the year when I travelled to the South East of USA(namely Georgia & Florida) and it just grew and grew and I didn't know what to do with it...But, once back in Seattle and smelling the familiar air, I just decided to be done with them...

There is much to be said about this last weekend - A record 3 movies in 3 days and not one that I can complain about!! By some act of luck all 3 movies were some of the best!! Friday night - Lost in Translation - Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Saturday night - Memoirs of a Geisha - Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi and Sunday night - The Girl in the Cafe - Bill Nighy, Kelly MacDonald. Check it out if you haven't already...

So anyway, "Flirty"(MF) and PJ want me to start my cooking classes and due to a special request I need to begin this Sunday...I know PJ cooks a couple of dishes really well and Flirty cooks a little more...but both together and in my kitchen...?Hmmmm.....point to ponder...The reason I am saying that is cos I am very anal about how things are kept and cleanliness and stuff like that, yes you can call me a control freak but you cannot blame me, I get that from my mom...! So having maintained a clean kitchen myself, I would expect the same from others when they are in my kitchen...Flirty I might be able to trust, but I have my doubts about PJ...(she is going to kill me for saying this!!!)

I will have to talk about my vacation for this year a bit. I would have accrued a week by March and I wanna travel Europe if possible. Everytime I say this I feel like I am counting my chickens before my eggs are hatched...cos I had all these plans lined up but now I feel everything is crumbling...besides I need to prepare for visitors this year...Gosh, I wish I could do without that...but have no choice...Yes I am talking about relatives...who are going to be in my face for 2 months!!!I am going to say no more and just meditate my stress out...

As I am reflecting about what would punch the stress out of me, I begin to think about Seattle...Yes beautiful Seattle...I think about Magnolia, think about downtown, think about Greenlake...there is nothing that one can dislike about Seattle. Inspite of pouring rains for 23 days, there is something so wonderfully enthralling, there are so many shades to the skies here....the shade of darkened black gloomy ones on one side and sun trying to crackle through on the other side...sun rays on snow clad mountains...and the reflection of sun setting on the lakes...I feel so much better now...and looking forward to some skiing on Stevens this Saturday too...May be I need to get outdoor and that is what it is...

Alright, time to wrap it up. Don't know when I will get the time and leisure to write again about all and sundry...but for what it is worth I will always look forward to some alone time to express my moods :)

Have a nice weekend all of you!
